On Tuesday, October 24, CLSMF packed its bags and headed to the Orlando office of Burr & Forman: the idea of "CLSMF Helpline on the Road" officially went live.

After a brief orientation on the CLSMF online intake and how to use the Helpline phone system, volunteer attorneys from Burr & Forman answered phone calls from individuals seeking legal advice. Calls ranged from an elderly citizen facing eviction to a mother losing custody of her child.

Celebrate Pro Bono Week became the perfect opportunity to unleash the pro bono potential of large law firms by pairing them up with the technology to create the first-ever Mobile Helpline in Central Florida. These firms can now set up an in-house legal aid helpline to further meet the need for this in-kind service in our communities. All that is required is an outlet, an internet connection, and willing volunteer attorneys (caffeine and snacks don't hurt either).
