Ricardo’s insurance litigation experience includes issues related to defalcation, bad agents, fraud and coverage agents. His product liability experience includes industrial grade machinery, automobile components, toxic torts and chemical agents. Ricardo is a creative problem solver who provides his clients with innovative and cost effective solutions and strategies. He is no stranger to the courtroom and he is experienced in handling all stages of complex litigation. Ricardo has first-chair jury trial experience, as well as extensive pre-trial litigation experience. He has successfully defended matters, which included allegations of wrongful death, paralysis, severe bodily injuries, and catastrophic property loss.
Ricardo was selected as one of Alabama’s Rising Stars by Alabama Super Lawyers Magazine. In 2009, Mobile Bay Monthly included him on its inaugural list of “Mobile’s Top 40 Under 40,” a distinction that recognizes the 40 outstanding community leaders under the age of 40 who demonstrate excellence in their individual disciplines. Ricardo was appointed by Chief Judge Callie V.S. Granade of the United States District Court to a Merit Selection Committee to recommend candidates for a federal magistrate position for the Southern District of Alabama.
Ricardo is a native of Natchez, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi, and earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the school’s nationally ranked Trial Team, and he served as the Chief Judge of the Trial Board.
Ricardo has been admitted to the Alabama State Bar and the Mississippi State Bar, and he is licensed to practice law in both state and federal courts in Alabama and Mississippi.
