Morey has represented management of both large and small employers in most aspects of labor and employment for approximately 30 years both in litigation in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings involving the EEOC, DOL and FCHR or as an advisor counseling clients on workplace issues they may confront.

Morey began practicing law in Las Vegas, Nevada, before moving to Orlando in 1984.  In 1985, he accepted an in-house opportunity with a diversified publisher, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, eventually becoming its Lead Labor and Employment Counsel and Administrative Vice President of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sea World.  In 1990, Morey returned to private practice as Chair of a firm’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group for the next 22 years.  On February 1, 2012, Morey joined Burr & Forman.  

Morey’s practice routinely includes representing large and small employers throughout Florida (and occasionally beyond) in both litigation in state and federal courts and the panoply of administrative agencies involved in the workplace or counseling clients concerning workplace issues.

What is your favorite thing about the law?
The ability to partner with a client to creatively achieve their human resources and business objective(s).

What was your first job?
Lifeguard (in Ventnor, New Jersey and in Las Vegas, Nevada).

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy Bocce Ball, Frisbee, golf, reading and horseshoes with my sons.

What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Participate in as many clinical experiences as possible to augment (and apply) their classroom education.

How do you define a good day?
Being surrounded by family and friends with the beach and Atlantic Ocean in the background.

How do you spend your weekend?
Taking a quick trip to the beach.
