Norman practices in the Birmingham and Jackson offices of the firm and serves as Chair of the firm's Business Succession Planning team as well as a member of the firm's legal opinion committee. He has practiced law since 1998 and is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law and Real Property, Trust and Estate Law sections), the Alabama State Bar, The Mississippi Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is also a contributing author to Burr's "Succeeding in Succession" Blog.
Norman received is Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1994 from Auburn University, his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University, and his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Norman currently serves on the Mountain Brook Board of Zoning Adjustments and is the President of Special Equestrians, Inc., an Alabama nonprofit dedicated to offering therapeutic horseback riding to the physically, emotionally and mentally challenged. He is also the past Vice-Chairman of the City of Mountain Brook Tree Commission and currently the Vice President of the St. Andrews Society of the Middle South.
Norman is an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He is married to the former Kimberly Windham and they have two daughters, Riley (age 9) and Lana Jane (age 6).

What is your favorite thing about the law?
I find it extremely rewarding helping clients establish their goals and then assisting them in accomplishing them.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, our two daughters and our Labrador retriever. I also enjoy duck hunting, fishing, running, cycling and following Auburn University sports.
