April Mason Named “Outstanding Female Attorney” by Cox Media Group at Best in Minority Business Awards

Burr & Forman LLP partner April McKenzie Mason was honored by Cox Media Group as “Outstanding Female Attorney” at the 7th Annual Best in Minority Business Awards held at the Harbert Center on Feb. 16, 2012.

Cox Media Group began the Best in Minority Business Awards in 2007 to celebrate the spirit, creativity and resourcefulness of Birmingham’s brightest minority and female leadership. Winners were selected from finalists in each of these categories: Executive of the Year; Outstanding Young Professional; Non-Profit Leadership/Faith Based Service; Outstanding Attorney-Male & Female; and Encouraging Diversity. The Top 12 Minority & Women Owned Businesses of 2012 were also honored.

The awards event generated proceeds that will be used to benefit Cox Media scholarship funds.
