Consumer Finance Litigation & Compliance

Ashley is an associate in the firm's Financial Services Litigation Practice Group focusing on legal and regulatory compliance matters that affect banks, loan servicers, credit unions, and debt collectors.

Ashley advises clients about consumer credit and protection laws and regulations including RESPA, FHA, UDAAP, ECOA, VA, OCC, and the various requirements of the CFPB and NCUA; drafting and analyzing existing policies, procedures, vendor contracts, and business arrangements to ensure compliance with state and federal law; regulatory audit advisement; third-party vendor auditing and due diligence. Ashley has experience with the unique needs of medical debt collectors and assists various types of non-financial businesses with compliance and contractual matters. Ashley also represents financial institutions in default and consumer litigation to include foreclosure litigation and defending against FDCPA, FCCPA, and TCPA claims.

Ashley is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and also regularly presents Florida Bar Benchmark presentations for civic and community groups to raise awareness of and encourage involvement in civics education.
