Deborah is a retired partner at Burr & Forman. Deborah's practice focused on representing businesses in construction law, obtaining financing, contract negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. She also represented businesses in commercial real estate transactions, and timberland transactions.
Deborah assisted ThyssenKrupp Steel in the construction and start-up of operations for its $5 billion manufacturing facility in the U.S. This work consisted of drafting and negotiating all types of agreements and forms necessary for a new plant of this size, during both the construction phase and later during the operations phase. She assisted Honda Manufacturing of Alabama with the construction of its first manufacturing plant in Alabama, and Kia Motors with construction of its manufacturing plant in Georgia.
Deborah has broad experience in general corporate matters, including large debt and equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
Deborah frequently represents clients in commercial real estate transactions. She has represented clients in the purchase, sale and financing of hundreds of thousands of acres of timberlands in Alabama and other states, in the purchase and sale of toll bridges, and in a variety of other real estate transactions.
