Devin's law practice covers a broad-range of business disputes and employment matters, from the outset of the dispute to the final appeal. Whether it is a business-deal "gone bad," a shareholder-derivative claim, or a collective-bargaining matter, Devin helps businesses in managing their legal risks and in resolving complex disputes.
Devin practices in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and has litigated many types of business disputes, ranging from contract questions and business torts to pricing and antitrust matters. Devin also represents employers, providing advice on employment laws and collective bargaining and litigating employment claims and ERISA matters. His clients include manufacturers, service providers, banks, and insurance companies.
Devin speaks German and has advised US companies doing business overseas and foreign-owned companies doing business in the US. His passion for understanding international business and comparative law began when he was an undergraduate. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Amherst College, majoring in political science and German, and studied at the Georg-August Universität in Göttingen , Germany during his junior year. Devin worked as a legal assistant in Belgium after college. He then continued his international involvement at the University of Virginia School of Law, serving as Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
