Heather assists creditors and debtors in workouts, reorganizations, and bankruptcy, both in and out of state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. She regularly negotiates and drafts forbearance agreements, conducts foreclosure sales, seeks the appointment of receivers, files lawsuits to enforce creditors' rights under the relevant contractual documents, and litigates these matters. Heather also has represented several debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, which were successfully reorganized.

Heather practices in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy group. She has considerable experience with creditors’ rights matters and with litigation of those matters. Heather assists clients with reorganizations, commercial bankruptcy, commercial landlord/tenant enforcement, large collections, contractual matters, and in matters concerning Alabama real property tax lien law. Heather regularly assists clients in filing lawsuits to enforce contractual obligations and in handling commercial real property foreclosures and receiverships.
