Robert practices in the Corporate & Tax practice group with a focus on providing a number of services for the development and management of intellectual property. He also focuses on licensing issues and has significant experience dealing with clients on the national level including Fortune 500 companies and retailers.
Robert has represented clients on a number of issues including: intellectual property counseling, licensing and prosecution with special emphasis on trademark, trade dress, copyright, domain name and technology issues. Robert also deals with intellectual property audits and policies and the evaluation and management of intellectual property portfolios.
Robert’s legal background consists of advising and consulting clients on trademark and copyright infringements, branding strategies, management of domestic trademarks, and opposition and cancelation issues. He also played a strategic part in the negotiation and drafting of domain name licensing agreements and settlements as well as employment and independent contractor agreements. Robert assists clients on issues dealing with web site development, message board term and conditions, hosting and linking agreements. He has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WPO). Robert also has experience in conducting due diligence investigations as part of company mergers and acquisitions.
Robert is a frequent contributing author to a number of legal and business publications.
