Sean is a member of the firm's Corporate & Tax, Real Estate and Lending Practice Groups, with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions and commercial & corporate finance.
Sean regularly represents buyers, sellers and targets in U.S. middle-market M&A and related corporate transactions, including stock and asset purchases, mergers, restructurings, capital raises and joint ventures. Sean has negotiated international distribution, supply and services agreements on behalf of medical device manufacturers, healthcare product distributors, maritime port facilities and offshore service providers.
Sean also advises financial institutions on secured lending transactions, bank mergers and acquisitions, and compliance with state and federal regulations regarding structured products and bank governance. Sean’s commercial and public finance practice includes tax exempt bond offerings, real estate financing, and line-of-business and asset-based loans, including aircraft lending for U.S. and international bank clients.
In addition, Sean has been a primary contributor for the firm’s legal opinions rendered on behalf of international and U.S. clients in significant cross-border financial transactions.
Sean practiced in the Chicago office of a national law firm before joining Burr & Forman in his wife’s hometown of Mobile.
