About Amy
Amy advises and represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. Her practice includes defending employers in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state agency investigations and in federal and state court litigation for claims arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal and state laws. Amy also regularly counsels employers with respect to all types of human resource issues including employee discipline and termination, reductions in force, employee handbooks, and the development of personnel policies and procedures.
Amy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the State Bar of Tennessee. Amy is also admitted to practice before all U.S. District Courts of Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Amy received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Auburn University and her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. During law school Amy served as Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was listed on the Dean’s List.
