Brad Cross-Examined

What is your favorite thing about the law?

Giving assurance and confidence to those who feel intimidated by the legal process or are unsure about the steps needed to address their problems.

What was your first job?

First I was an engraver in a jewelry store. Shortly thereafter, I loaded large UPS trailers parked in the hot summer sun. It was like performing aerobics in an oven. Comparing the two jobs led me to my true calling: “Working in an air conditioned office.”

What are your hobbies?

I’m a history enthusiast, and while I enjoy reading and learning about various periods of history, I am a particular fan and devotee of Sir Winston Churchill, the former Prime Minister and war time leader of England. I’m such an admirer that I joined and helped start a social club known as the “Winston Churchill Society of Georgia.” Members are spread throughout the state, and it is enjoyable to share a unique interest with such a wide variety of persons. Besides exploring topics in history, there’s playing my dog’s favorite games, taking impromptu excursions with my lovely wife Christian (shopping excursions are her favorite game), watching college football on TV, trying to break 90 on the golf course, and doing absolutely nothing on some beach.

What is your favorite lawyer joke?

What makes Brad Baldwin a good lawyer? “He really knows the law!” What makes Brad Baldwin a great lawyer? “He really knows the judge!!”

How do you define a “good day?”

One in which I find time to reflect on the many blessings of life that I’m lucky enough to enjoy and to give thanks to the Almighty for them.
