About Amanda
Amanda practices in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Section.
Amanda earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2007 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as associate articles editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. While in law school, Amanda received several honors including Outstanding Student Award in Corporations and was a recipient of the John H. Fox, Jr. Law Memorial Scholarship. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and Chairman of 2007 McGlinchey Stafford Appellate Competition. Amanda was also listed on the Dean’s List several semesters and was a member of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. Amanda received a B.S. in Business Administration focusing on Economics from the University of Mississippi in 2001.
Prior to becoming an associate, Amanda worked as an Independent Petroleum Landman for clients such as WAUSAU Development, Inc. and as a Consumer Banker II for National City Bank.
Amanda is a member of the Alabama State Bar.
What are your hobbies?
Spending time with my family (especially my grandmother), watching movies, running, scrapbooking, baking, and traveling.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Study hard, but also have fun because three years go by quickly.
How do you spend your weekend?
Hanging out with my husband and our dog, Charlie. We go to Bruce, Mississippi, often to visit family. We also go to Oxford frequently for Ole Miss sporting events.
