About Bill
Bill is a Mobile native. He graduated from Birmingham-Southern College and later received his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served as the Director of several important law school organizations and received several honors.
Prior to law school Bill served for five years in the U.S. Army as a Ranger qualified Infantry Officer, achieving the rank of Captain. He now serves as an officer with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps within the U. S. Army Reserve and devotes much of his time in this activity. Bill is also active in the Defense Research Institute, and has served as the Chair of the Construction Law Committee for 3 years. He has served as Program Chair for the DRI Construction Law Seminar for several years and is a frequent speaker at construction law seminars on the local, state and national level. He has authored numerous articles on construction topics including risk shifting, risk avoidance, and other related areas of interest to contractors, design professionals and owners. Bill is on the Board of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and practices primarily in the areas of product liability, construction litigation, and complex commercial litigation.

What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Accept the fact that you are an adult and work like one. Push yourself every day.
