Chris Cross-Examined

What is your favorite thing about the law?

No two cases are the same and each one presents new and exciting issues and challenges. I also enjoy getting to know my clients and their operations in order to “put myself in their shoes” as the case that has brought us together evolves.

What was your first job?

My father is a general contractor so I started going to work with him as soon as I was old enough to help clean up his job sites. Later I worked with him every summer expanding my knowledge to include all phases of residential construction, which is where my love of construction projects and construction law originates.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy all water activities, snow skiing, golf, reading and watching sports.

What advice would you give to a young student in law school?

Certainly work hard and do as well as possible, but take the time to network and get to know your classmates. The legal community is surprisingly small and the relationships you begin forming the first day of law school remain important well beyond graduation.

How do you spend your weekend?

Enjoying time with my wife, family and friends; if that time is spent on the water all the better. In the fall you will likely find me watching football and traveling to see my Bulldogs play.
