About Dow
Dow practices in the firm’s Litigation section. He works in a variety of areas, including financial services and banking litigation, bad faith and fraud insurance litigation, and product liability. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
Dow received his B.A. in 2000 from Union University and his J.D., cum laude, in 2004 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. During law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and published an article therein entitled “WHO WANTS SOME WATER: THE ONGOING BATTLE FOR THE KLAMATH RIVER BASIN AND THE NEED FOR MODERATE INSTITUTIONAL CHANGE TO END THE WAR”, 34 Cumb. L. Rev. 531.
What community projects are you involved in?
My wife, Jennifer, and I are volunteer Young Life leaders at Mountain Brook High School. Young Life, which began in 1941, is a non-profit Christian organization committed to making an impact on kids’ lives and preparing them for the future.
What is your favorite thing about the law?
I enjoy working as a team to solve our clients’ problems.
What was your first job?
I was a “Sod Man” with a landscaping company.
What are your hobbies? I
love to travel, exercise and read.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
You should begin to develop good work habits the first day you step on campus; it will pay you back in opportunity and peace of mind.
