About Dudley

Dudley practices with the firm’s Corporate section with a focus on Trusts & Estates, Business Planning, Taxation and Real Estate.

Dudley obtained both his B.A. and his J.D. from Brigham Young University, where he served as Associate Editor of the BYU Journal of Education and Law. Following Law School, he received his L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

Dudley is a member of the Florida Bar, the Orange County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. In addition, he is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas. He is admitted before the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri and District of Kansas.

In December of 2004, Dudley published Protect Your Clients’ Assets in Florida: Practical Domestic-Based Techniques (National Business Institute, 2004).

What is your favorite thing about the law?

I enjoy helping my clients structure transactions that will allow them to be successful and accomplish their goals.

What community projects are you involved in?

Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity in Seminole County, Inc.

What was your first job?

Service station attendant at full-service gas station in Phoenix, Arizona.

What advice would you give to a young student in law school?

Learn the art of networking.

What is your favorite lawyer joke?

So this farmer walks into a lawyer’s office. He slaps $500.00 on the lawyer’s desk and demands: “Can I ask a couple of questions?” The lawyer picks up the money, looks at the farmer and says: “Sure, what’s the other question?”

How do you define a good day?

Any day that is not a “bad day.”

How do you spend your weekend?

It depends on the time of year. But, for the most part, I spend it watching my children at La Crosse, Soccer and Tee-Ball games. Other times are spent with my family. I am also very active in the local congregation of my church.
