Edwin Cross-Examined

What is your favorite thing about the law?

I enjoy the fluid nature and constant evolution of the law. Each day and new task brings with it the potential to solve a problem or address an issue of first impression, and that keeps the work interesting.

What was your first job?

My first job was as a lifeguard at the local public pool in high school.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy downhill skiing, playing tennis, golfing (poorly), cooking and carpentry.

What advice would you give to a young student in law school?

Take as many challenging classes in as many different subjects as you can. Your initial impressions of what kind of attorney you want to be could have nothing to do with the practice area you end up loving.

What is your favorite lawyer joke?

Q. How many lawyer jokes are there? A. Only three. The rest are true stories.

How do you spend your weekends?

I spend my weekends catching up on week’s DVR offerings, spending time with my wife Shauna, watching the current seasonal sport with friends, and tackling general do-it-yourself home improvement projects.
