About Forrest
Forrest practices in the firm’s Business and Insurance Litigation practice. His 24-year practice includes representation of parties in a broad range of complex litigation, including class actions, in both state and federal courts. Forrest’s trial experience includes serving as lead counsel in commercial litigation, personal injury/product liability claims, and complex insurance coverage disputes. He represents several major life and disability insurers on a regional basis.
Forrest is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Insurance Law and is recognized by his peers as an AV rated attorney, the highest Martindale-Hubble rating available to an individual lawyer. He is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), and many other professional and industry associations.
In addition, Forrest has lectured and published for groups such as the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Alabama Law Review, Cumberland Law Review, Washington Legal Foundation, and Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. In addition to his trial work, Forrest’s active appellate practice has exceeded over 100 appeals, including work on several U.S. Supreme Court cases that rewrote the law of punitive damages. He is a member of the Alabama Supreme Court Appellate Rules Committee and serves as a Certified Appellate Mediator.
What is your favorite thing about the law?
It is full of ideas about how people relate to each other. I love ideas.

I serve on the Board of Trustees of Troy University.

Schedule each day and stick to it; take one day off each weekend.
