What is your favorite thing about the law?
Working with a diverse group of corporate clients, I really get to learn a lot about how different businesses operate. Whether it’s learning how railroad cars are coupled or how a particular restaurant cooks its food, I am constantly picking up random bits of interesting information.
What was your first job?
Stuffing envelopes in a mail room.
What are your hobbies?
Hunting, reading, politics
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Take the classes that are the most appealing, not the ones you think you’ll need in order to practice law. Most of your legal knowledge will come from on the job training, and you won’t have another chance to take that interesting law school seminar once you graduate.
How do you spend your weekend?
Running, hunting or fishing, and reading The New York Times.
