About Jenny
Jenny practices in the firm’s Business Law section, with the Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Group. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Jenny served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Thomas B. Bennett, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.
Jenny received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science with a minor in English from Birmingham-Southern College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as Special Works Editor for the Alabama Law Review. She was a member of the Order of the Coif, recipient of the Dean Harrison Award and a Hugo Black Scholar.
During law school, Jenny clerked for the Alabama Law Institute, working to revise the Alabama Election Code, and was a Summer Law Intern at the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, in Washington, D.C.
What was your first job?
My first unofficial job was working in my Dad’s NAPA store in the summers doing inventory. My first “real job” was working as a Bank Teller at Regions Bank the summer after high school.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Hone your writing skills and get to know your professors.
