I currently serve as a member of the Associate Board of the Arthritis Foundation and the Juvenile Arthritis Initiative. While Alabama has incredible medical facilities, we currently do not have a Pediatric Rheumatologist to treat the children who suffer from rheumatic diseases. The Juvenile Arthritis Initiative’s objective is to procure the requisite funds to establish a Pediatric Rheumatology program for Alabama.
What was your first job? In high school, I worked as a little league umpire.
What are your hobbies? When time permits I enjoy traveling, especially in Central and South America. On a recent fishing trip to Quepos, Costa Rica, my dad, brother-in-law and I caught 14 sailfish in 6.5 hours. We lost 5 others. It was an amazing trip.
