About Ladd
Ladd practices in the firm’s General Corporate Group. In his practice, Ladd has assisted clients with various corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of securities, corporate governance, entity formation and business planning. He works with clients on the purchase and development of utility-scale solar and wind projects. Ladd also counsels physician groups and freestanding diagnostic centers regarding asset purchases and other significant transactions, corporate structure and internal governance issues. Prior to law school, Ladd worked in Charlotte, North Carolina as an asset analyst in the North American headquarters of a global food service company.
Ladd received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While in law school, he also participated in the Georgetown Summer Program at University College London.
Ladd is a member of the Alabama and Mississippi State Bars and the American and Birmingham Bar Associations. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.
What was your first job?
I worked for a landscaping company.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy fly fishing, hiking, traveling, and golf.
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Take advantage of opportunities to study law abroad during your first summer in law school.
