What is your favorite thing about the law?
Meeting new people and the relationships you form with them. Whether a client, opposing counsel or co-counsel, meeting different people makes every day and every case different.
What was your first job?
Planting grass on my high school’s football field. Thankfully, the cheap labor has been replaced by artificial turf.
What are your hobbies?
Golf, University of North Carolina athletics, furniture restoration
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Befriend everyone in your class. Your classmates will enter many different areas of law. You never know when you are going to need a little free advice in an area outside your specialty.
What is your favorite lawyer joke?
Personally, I don’t like any of them because too many non-lawyers don’t think they are jokes at all and that is unfortunate.
