About Mike
Mike is Counsel in the firm’s Birmingham office and practices general civil litigation with an emphasis on Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) cases, insurance defense, products liability actions. He has defended Federal Employers Liability Act cases brought against various railroads including BNSF Railway Company, Norfolk Southern Corporation, CSX Transportation, Inc., Kansas City Southern Railway, CN, OmniTRAX, RailAmerica, and various short line railroads during his career. He has also represented the insured’s of a variety of national insurance companies.
Mike received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1982 and his B.S., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 1979. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
