About Monika
Monika is an associate in the general commercial litigation practice group. Her practice focuses on complex civil litigation and legal strategy in state and federal courts. She has worked on cases spanning a number of legal areas, including product liability, consumer credit, breach of contract, securities fraud, employment discrimination, and other general commercial matters. Her experience covers pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation, including factual investigation, depositions, and motion practice. She also has overseen and monitored several individual product liability and consumer credit actions pending in federal and state courts across the country.
Monika received her J.D., with honors, from Georgia State University College of Law, where she interned for Justice Carol Hunstein of the Georgia Supreme Court. In addition, she received several awards through her involvement on the Moot Court Team. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Emory University.
What is your favorite thing about the law?
The law gives us a tool to hold each other accountable for the promises and agreements that we make with one another.
What community projects are you involved in?
I serve as a volunteer attorney for the Truancy Intervention Project, an organization dedicated to providing advocacy for Georgia’s children and their families to prevent school failure.
What are your hobbies?
Playing the drum set and guitar, traveling internationally and I am currently training for a half marathon.
How do you define a “good day?”
A day where I accomplish a challenging task while maintaining a sense of humor.
