About Rick
Rick practices in the firm’s Financial Services, Commercial Litigation and Health Care sections. He has represented clients on a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial, securities, banking, antitrust, health care and white collar criminal issues.
Rick has represented investment banks in civil suits involving on-line bond trading services and pricing of initial public offerings. He also has represented health insurers in cases relating to reimbursement practices for providers and members. Rick is experienced in conducting internal investigations and in negotiating resolutions for multi-party disputes. In addition, he has served as interim general counsel for a regional health insurer and has worked as interim in-house counsel for a multi-national manufacturing and services company.
Rick received his Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. Rick is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York State Courts and Federal Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York. Rick is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
What community projects are you involved in?
I was the founding chairman of the Junior Advisory Board for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York and a Board Member of the Volunteer Center of Bergen County.

Fly fishing, baseball, American History
What advice would you give to a young student in law school?
Get to know your classmates. Not only will it make law school more bearable, but you never know who you’ll run into down the road.
How do you define a “good day”?
At work, a good day is when I can help a client find a solution to a difficult problem. At home, a good day is any day spent with my wife and kids.
