Robert Cross-Examined

What is your favorite thing about the law? I enjoy the constant challenge of analyzing new and ever changing problems and being able to provide advice and direction in the resolution. Additionally, I enjoy the relationships built with clients and learning about their specific business and legal needs.

What community projects are you involved in? Recently, I have spent a great deal of time volunteering in youth sports. I most recently coached my daughter’s second grade soccer team to a very successful season. Watching each child learn new skills, develop self-confidence and reach goals all while having fun is truly a great experience. Seeing the smiles and celebrating victories with the kids makes all the time and hard work very worthwhile.

What was your first job? My first jobs included pumping fuel and washing 18-wheeler trucks; performing maintenance on a resort golf course; and working on production lines for a pipe manufacturer and metals recycler. These jobs taught me the value of hard work and the importance of each member of a team for net results.

What are your hobbies? I enjoy running and following college football - specifically, the University of Alabama-Roll Tide!

How do you define a “good day?” A good day at the office is when I have succeeded in providing sound advice and representation to a client facing a legal challenge while building on our working relationship.
