About Stephen
One hundred percent of Stephen’s practice is devoted to Litigation. Over the years, Stephen has successfully tried a number of jury and bench trials. He regularly represents mortgage lenders in actions alleging violations of the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other federal statutes and regulations. In addition to handling business torts litigation matters, a large component of Stephen’s practice encompasses the representation of retailers in lawsuits asserting tort and product liability claims. Also, Stephen regularly represents Alabama employers in workers’ compensation and retaliatory discharge lawsuits.
Stephen belongs to the TIPS and Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association and is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association, where he presently serves as a member of the Grievance Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.
Stephen in the Community
I enjoy coaching my two daughters in t-ball and softball. In addition, I’m an active member of The Cathedral Church of the Advent.
