About David
David practices in the firm’s Torts, Insurance, and Product Liability section. His experience concentrates on insurance-related matters, including insurance company acquisitions and assisting Tennessee domestic companies in regulatory matters. David has advised a number of companies and agencies on contracts, reinsurance, liability and business matters.
David was recognized as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” in 2005 and the 2006 edition of Best Lawyers in America both for his work in Insurance Regulation. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association (Legislative Section), and the Nashville Bar Association (Board of Directors and Legislative Committee). He is a member of the Nashville Chapter of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, and was designated to the Chartered Property and Charter Underwriter (CPCU). David also served as General Counsel to the Department of Commerce and Insurance (1974-1981).
David earned his J.D., 1972, from the University of Tennessee College of Law, and his B.A., 1962, from Middle Tennessee State University.
