Burr & Forman LLP is pleased to announce attorney Ian P. Shippey has joined the firm’s Transportation, Insurance, and Product Practice Group. Ian will be located in the Birmingham office.

Ian regularly represents clients in insurance-related litigation and provides both general guidance and detailed analysis on insurance coverage. He previously practiced at Ely & Isenberg, LLC, and was a judicial clerk for Judge Tamara Harris Johnson of the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama.

Ian earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Montevallo, where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned his J.D. from Samford University, where he graduated cum laude, earned the Dean’s Scholarship, was awarded the Scholar of Merit in Administrative Law, and served as Articles Editor for The American Journal of Trial Advocacy.
