Kristy Waldron Joins Burr's Appellate Litigation Team

Firm News

Burr and Forman is pleased to welcome Counsel Kristy Waldron to the firm's appellate litigation practice group in the Mobile, AL office. She practices in insurance defense, business litigation, and government liability, focusing on appellate work.

"We are thrilled by Kristy Waldron’s addition. She has a first-rate mind and is especially keen on knowing the right issue to argue. That is the key to winning any appeal. We and our clients are fortunate to have her," said Forrest Latta, who leads the firm's appellate practice.

Kristy started her career as an assistant district attorney, trying felony cases to juries in Georgia and Alabama. Her years as a prosecutor made Kristy tenacious, nimble, and unflappable in the courtroom.

More recently, Kristy has successfully defended dozens of physicians in medical malpractice and wrongful death actions, many of which were disposed of on summary judgment. She has also handled shareholder disputes in closely held corporations.

Throughout her career, Kristy has maintained an appellate practice, successfully briefing and arguing cases before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Alabama Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, among other appellate courts.
