Deborah is a retired partner at Burr & Forman. Deborah practices in the firm's Business section, representing businesses in construction law, obtaining financing, contract negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. She also represents businesses in commercial real estate transactions, and timberland transactions.

Deborah assisted ThyssenKrupp Steel in the construction and start-up of operations for its $5 billion manufacturing facility in the U.S.  This work consisted of drafting and negotiating all types of agreements and forms necessary for a new plant of this size, during both the construction phase and later during the operations phase.  She assisted Honda Manufacturing of Alabama with the construction of its first manufacturing plant in Alabama, and Kia Motors with construction of its manufacturing plant in Georgia.

What do you do on weekends?
In the summer, I grow vegetables in our backyard.  In the winter, I cook and read seed catalogs while longing for spring.

What does your family enjoy doing?
We have three sons, two daughters-in law, and three young grandchildren.  We love cooking and eating together, especially my husband's pizza.
