Roofner is profiled in the May 24 issue of the Orlando Business Journal.
“Ty has established himself not only as an outstanding attorney, but a dedicated leader through his community involvement in a number of Central Florida organizations,” said Jim Pratt, managing partner of Burr & Forman’s Orlando office. “He is already prominent among the business community, inspires confidence among clients and has the ability to make deals happen fast. In less than a year of being with our firm, he has built a foundation for and given prominence to our corporate law practice in Orlando.”
At Burr & Forman, Roofner practices in the Corporate and Tax group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, and serving early stage and start-up companies. He has significant experience working with entrepreneurs as they grow and then profitably exit their business.
Among his leadership endeavors, he is active in the American Bar Association, the Association for Corporate Growth, The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. He was named in 2013 as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
Roofner has served as a member of the board of directors for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and is currently a member of the organization’s Executive Committee and is Philanthropy Chair. In addition, he volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and is a frequent speaker at the University of Central Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
Roofner earned his bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law.
