Burr’s John Schifino Elected for Second Term as Board Member of Hillsborough County Bar Association
In this capacity, Schifino will work to promote respect for the law and the justice system through his service to the legal profession and to the community. The HCBA is a nonprofit association with more than 3,700 members and works with attorneys in private and public practice in all areas of law.
At Burr & Forman, Schifino focuses his practice in the areas of business litigation, appellate practice and environmental law. He has extensive experience in advising clients on complex contract disputes, business torts, shareholder disputes, professional malpractice claims, employer/employee disputes, and First Amendment matters.
Schifino is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Trial and Litigation Section. He co-chaired the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Judicial Liaison Committee from 2004 through 2010. From 2009 to 2012 Schifino was a member of and chaired the Florida Bar Association Grievance Committee, Division E, in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. He is an AV-rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in Florida Trend’s Legal Elite as well as Florida Super Lawyers
