This puts him in line to serve as president of the organization in 2015 which encompasses 11 state chapters. Hardin's two-year term as vice president began in May 2013.

At Burr & Forman, Hardin focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial, health care and torts litigation, as well as insurance law, and government investigations and enforcement. He served as executive vice-president, general counsel and member of the board of directors of Caremark Rx, Inc. (NYSE CMX) from 1998 until the company merged with CVS in 2006. He currently serves as outside co-general counsel for Colonial Properties Trust (NYSE).

Hardin is recognized as a Diplomat and Life Fellow of ABOTA and has served as a member of the organization's National Board. He earned his bachelor's degree from Birmingham Southern College and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.
