Burr's Scott Steady Selected as District Council Chair for Urban Land Institute

In this capacity, Steady will work to provide the avenues for active dialogue among private industry, environmental organizations, and public agencies to create solutions to local and regional issues. Steady has been an active member of ULI Tampa Bay's Advisory Board for 12 years, serving as Sponsorship Chair and Chair of Mission Advancement.

At Burr & Forman, Steady leads the firm's Environmental Practice Group. He has extensive experience assisting clients in obtaining land use approvals such as zonings, plan amendments, site plan approvals and approvals of developments of regional impact.

Steady is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He co-chaired the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Land Use Law Section from 2006 through 2008. He is a member of the American Bar Association, and currently serves as chairperson of the Environmental and Energy Committee and as a member of the Leadership Council for the State and Local Government Law Section.

Steady earned his bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and his law degree from Stetson University College of Law.
