In an article published in the July 15 edition of the Birmingham Business Journal, Edward Christian discusses what businesses should be aware of when preparing for a merger or acquisition. When asked what some of the legal and accounting concerns arising from mergers and acquisitions are, Christian explains," A lot of times, the owners or the seller will be a corporation or an LLC but the owners of that entity don't comprehend at the outset that they're standing personally behind what they're saying and are they willing to do that." Christian also talks about the role of mergers and acquisitions to come in the future, saying, "I've talked to others, and people seem to expect things to slow down the latter part of this year. However, I have not seen that coming yet. Deals are still coming in and things are still going on - going pretty hot and heavy, so we'll see."
