Columbia Partner Celeste Jones Selected as an Honoree in the “Women of Influence” Awards by the Columbia Regional Business Report

Firm News

Columbia partner Celeste Jones was recently selected as an honoree in the “Women of Influence” awards by the Columbia Regional Business Report.

Twenty-five women, in professions ranging from architecture to education, have been selected as the 2019 Women of Influence by the Columbia Regional Business Report. Each year, the Business Report honors a group of women who are setting the pace in their careers as well as working to make the Midlands a better place. They were nominated by Business Report readers and selected by a panel of judges.

Among this year’s honorees are leaders in architecture, higher education, law and real estate, while philanthropical and entrepreneurial spirit also received recognition. A profile of each honoree will be published in the Aug. 12 issue of the Business Report, and the women will be honored at a luncheon on Aug. 22.

At Burr Forman McNair, Jones is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation group with a focus on business litigation, healthcare-related cases and commercial claims including class actions and regulated industries. She has an extensive healthcare practice representing parties in compliance, reimbursement and licensing matters, as well as medical products liability and catastrophic injuries. Celeste has tried numerous civil and white collar cases and has more than 30 years in practice.
