Firm News

Burr recently partnered with Centerforce events to support its annual "Women, Diversity & Law Summit" in Atlanta, GA. The Summit boasted nearly 200 attendees, made up of in-house and outside counsel, to come together to discuss diversity and inclusion in the legal industry.

Two of Burr's Atlanta female Partners, Christine Tenley and Jennifer Moseley led a special round table discussion on "Sex in the C-Suite: Best Practices to Reduce Risk When Executives Behave Badly.”

In addition, partner Christine Tenley served on the panel “From Awareness to Inclusion: Creating Change & Countering the #MeToo Backlash” alongside Corporate Counsel from Fiserv, Uber and LocumTenenes.

In addition to Tenley and Moseley, the firm brought a team of attorneys from the Atlanta office to attend the Summit’s programming and spend time with in-house attorneys.

About the Summit:

The Women Diversity & Law: Awareness into Change Summit explores how to create lasting change for women and minorities in the legal profession with topics such as: advocating for yourself and others, the best techniques to deal with discrimination and unconscious bias, actionable ways to increase diversity in leadership roles, strategies to enhance your career, and how to best utilize sponsors and mentors.

This conference will provide networking and learning opportunities on topics including self-advocacy, unconscious bias, sponsorship, and succeeding in male-dominated environments.
