Burr & Forman Expands in Southeast with Addition of Two Attorneys

Burr & Forman LLP announces the recent addition of Mobile-based associate Roger Varner, Jr. and Nashville-based attorney Jordan Puryear. Varner joins the Torts, Trial and Insurance group and Puryear joins the Lending practice group.

Varner focuses his practice on business and commercial litigation, including cases related to lease disputes, business divorces, business torts and consumer protection. His practice is also focused in the defense of claims against businesses and commercial insurance companies for personal injury, property damage, and workers compensation.

Varner received his undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is licensed in Alabama and New York.

Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Puryear handled workers’ compensation, construction, litigation, premises liability, products liability and consumer collections, and has assisted with alcoholic beverage licensing. In his new practice, he provides services to producers, suppliers, product manufacturers, wholesalers, and retail CBD locations, as well as lenders, funds and other financial institutions.

Puryear received his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his law degree from Belmont University College of Law.
