Burr & Forman Expands with the Addition of Three Associates in Alabama and South Carolina

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., October 30, 2020 – Burr & Forman LLP announces the addition of three new associates in the firm’s Birmingham, Columbia and Hilton Head offices. The addition of these associates strengthens multiple practice areas within the firm.

Birmingham-based associate, Madeline Hughes joins the firm’s Transportation and Maritime practice group. With her, she brings a variety of commercial and business litigation matter experience. Madeline regularly handles complex discovery matters, including issuing discovery requests, responding to discovery requests, and organizing documents for production. Madeline has extensive experience in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals having authored successful briefs and prepared oral arguments.

In Columbia, Wade Leach practices in the firm’s General Commercial Litigation group. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Wade served as a law clerk for the Honorable Frank D. Whitney of the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Wade’s other experience includes serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable Paul M. Newby of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Wade also interned for the Heritage Foundation’s Impact Teams & Policy Services section.

Lindsay Sutcliffe is an associate in the Hilton Head Island office where she practices in the firm's Corporate and Tax group. Her practice focuses on estate planning, probate administration and corporate transactional matters. Lindsay assists individuals and business owners with wealth transfer planning, probate matters and business planning by discussing client goals, assessing assets and drafting various strategic planning documents. Lindsay’s experience also includes advising corporate clients with business formation, expansion and reduction, as well as contract review and real estate matters.
