Burr's John Coleman and Marcel Debruge Named to Lawdragon's 2021 "500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers" List

Birmingham Partners John J. Coleman III and Marcel Debruge have been recognized in the 2021 issue of Lawdragon's "500 Leading U.S. Corporate Employment Lawyers" list for the second year. Five hundred lawyers were selected from journalistic research, submissions by firms and clients and vetting by peers. This is Lawdragon’s guide to the nation’s top talent representing Corporate America defending wage and hour, discrimination, and an array of other claims, including advising on key matters from immigration to executive compensation and employee benefits, as well as handling union and other labor-management relation matters.

John Coleman was named in the Employment Discrimination Litigation and Counseling specialty. A former chair and current member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group, John's trial experience includes the successful defense as lead counsel of banking, utility, automotive, manufacturing and food service industry employers in over 100 bench and jury trials.

Marcel Debruge was named in the Labor & Employment, esp. Labor-Management Relations specialty. Marcel is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He is past Chair of the Firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group and past Chair of the Alabama State Bar Labor and Employment Law Section. Marcel focuses his practice exclusively on representing management in all aspects of labor and employment law, including litigation before federal state courts and administrative agencies.
