Chip joined Burr & Forman as Counsel in 2016 and is a member of the firm's Lending Practice Group. He represents clients in a variety of matters focusing specifically on corporate, tax, real estate, and banking and finance.

Chip has extensive experience representing large, medium-sized, and small businesses in his practice. Chip believes that the firm’s combined experience and diverse legal backgrounds enable its attorneys to provide the firm’s clients with outstanding superior service. Additionally, Chip is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Insurance Producer, and believes his experience in these fields gives him a unique perspective in advising his clients on both transactional and litigation matters.

Chip received his undergraduate degree and Master of Accountancy from The University of Alabama, and law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law. Chip worked hard to be a campus leader as a student, and has continued to develop those skills as Vice President of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section, District 12 representative for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division, work on the legislative affairs committee of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, and involvement in various local and state political campaigns.

Outside of work, Chip enjoys spending time with his family as well as football, hunting, and fishing. Chip and his wife have two sons and are active members of Christ Church Cathedral in Mobile.
