Jennifer is an associate in the Columbia office where she practices in the firm’s Corporate & Tax practice group.
Jennifer’s practice involves representing clients in corporate matters including financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and partnership formations, primarily involving commercial real estate and family offices. In addition, Jennifer has advised borrowers on various aspects of Small Business Administration loans, particularly paycheck protection program loans, including eligibility, restrictions on uses of such loans, and compliance with recordkeeping requirements. She has experience analyzing proposed structures for various transactions, including cross-border acquisitions, real estate investment trusts and qualified opportunity zone investments. She has also advised on private client tax-related issues, particularly family office structures and Section 1031 transactions.
Jennifer earned her Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude. She served as a legal intern for the Office of Councilwoman LaToya Cantrell of the New Orleans City Council and a judicial intern for the Honorable J. Michelle Childs of the USDC, District of South Carolina.
