John focuses his practice on complex corporate and business litigation as well as employment law.
In his commercial and business litigation practice, John has represented a diverse group of clients as plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts. John has represented clients in a variety of cases, including claims for fraud, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, unfair trade practice allegations, negligent misrepresentation, and trademark infringement. In his employment practice, John has represented clients in cases alleging discrimination, wrongful termination, and violations of the South Carolina Payment of Wages Act. John regularly represents individuals, small businesses, as well as larger public and private institutions. John has tried several cases and has successfully resolved litigation through pre-trial motions and settlements.
John previously served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Roger L. Couch of the 7th Judicial Circuit. He has also worked for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the U.S. Department of State at the U.S. Consulate in Leipzig, Germany. John maintains proficiency in German.
