Overview
Leesa is a senior associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group.
Leesa represents a diverse set of clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes in several unique industries. She has extensive litigation experience in shareholder/member disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, financial services, landlord liability, and property disputes. Leesa specializes in complex litigation, including cases with nuanced legal principles and high-volume E-Discovery. Her practice focuses on contract disputes ranging from non-compete agreements, real property purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, residential and commercial leases, and other commercial contracts. While at Burr, she has secured favorable results at both the motion to dismiss, summary judgment, and trial stages.
Prior to joining Burr & Forman, Leesa obtained her J.D. from Mercer University where she graduated second in her class. She received the “Rusty Gunn” Award for her strength, intelligence, and good humor in leadership; the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing; and several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She also served as the Moot Court Chair for the Mercer Advocacy Council.
