Nafela is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment practice group where she focuses her practice on human resources operations, union avoidance, unfair labor practice and representation practices, EEOC proceedings, litigation, union elections, and collective bargaining negotiations.

Nafela has experience conducting transactional and litigation services for clients nationwide, including the creation of employee policies and procedures, enforcement of legal requirements, representation in response to actions filed with federal agencies, and negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements with unions nationally.

She served as a law summer clerk for the Honorable Judge J. Ellington at the Georgia Court of Appeals performing legal research, prepared bench memos, drafted orders and opinions, spading the judge’s orders and opinions, and verifying citations.

Nafela also maintains an active role by volunteering with organizations like Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Young Professionals Board, Caf 458, and The Refugee Resettlement.
