Overview
Brooke is an associate in Burr & Forman’s Charlotte office, where she focuses her practice on matters involving intellectual property and cybersecurity. She provides counsel on a wide range of cybersecurity issues, including data privacy law compliance, incident response, and data breach notification compliance.
Brooke also works with clients to protect and license their intellectual property. Her understanding of the broad range of cybersecurity issues helps protect clients’ interests in the digital marketplace. She provides counsel on matters related to trademarks, trade secrets, patents, and copyrights and has extensive experience litigating intellectual property matters in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
As a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions practice group, Brooke also handles intellectual property, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters related to corporate transactions, including due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Brooke received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as editor of the North Carolina Law Review. She was a Dean’s Fellow and a recipient of the Eugene Gressman and Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University.
